Take a look at a re-created labourers’ cottage and an elegant Georgian residence at nearby Folk Park
A village typical of Ireland at the turn of the century.
DAY-3 GLOBAL CITIZENS IN ACTION
In true People to People spirit, you’ll roll up your sleeves to give back to the global community.
Serve a meal to the elderly, clean up a community garden, or get your hands dirty cutting peat.
Peat is burned by many Irish people in their fireplaces and you can feel good knowing that what you cut will be
set aside to keep the town’s older people warm in the winter.
Learn more about the local history, politics, economic issues, and unique flora and fauna of Ireland.
Go to St Mary's Gaelic Athletic Association to get hands-on with the sports of hurling or Gaelic football.

Professional re-enactors will give you a backstage look at medieval life—including insights into the art of rat-catching!
